Form II and Form IV past tense: عبَّر عن (expressed), أثَّر في (influenced), ألهَم (inspired). Form II past doubles the middle consonant: عبَّر (same as present عبَّر but with past suffixes). Form IV past: ألهَم (root ل-ه-م, Form IV أَفعَل pattern). These cultural verbs add sophistication to any writing about the arts. يَشتَهِر بـ (present), اشتُهِر بـ (passive past — became known for) — passive past introduced here contextually.
