Text 3 (50 sec): A city description — select TWO correct statements from five. 6 marks.

Reading (10 marks): 80-word descriptive article about an Arab city (partly vowelled). 6 questions: 1 R1, 2 R2, 2 R3 (including "Is the writer's attitude to the city positive or negative? Give evidence from the text"), 1 R4. Writing Q1 (5 marks): Transport registration form — fill in 5 fields in Arabic (town/city name, main transport type used, distance from school, one advantage and one disadvantage of local transport). Writing Q2 (15 marks): Email or article (80–100 words): "مَدينَتي وكَيف أَتَنَقَّل." TC (5), Range (5), Accuracy (5).

Role play (4 marks): Asking for directions — 4 prompts: ask where the nearest metro/underground is (2 marks), ask how to get there (1 mark), ask how long it takes to walk (1 mark). Direction imperatives and يُوجَد/تُوجَد are specifically evaluated in QoL.
